Seniors Art and Writing Competitions

Seniors are invited to start writing their fiction and non-fiction pieces for the Annual Writing Competition for Seniors, and creating their 2D and 3D works for the annual Seniors Art Competition and Exhibition.

The 2020 theme is Resilience. This theme is intended to showcase writers’ unique perspectives on resilience.

Seniors Art Competition and Exhibition Information Session
In preparation for the annual Seniors Art Competition and Exhibition, (May 19–June 16, 2020), RMG staff are holding an information session to review contest entry guidelines and offer insight into the jurying process. We will review the competition’s criteria and answer questions from interested artists. Meet last year’s 1st Prize winner John McFeeters, who created his prize-winning piece, Nature’s Annual Fall Offs, from moose antlers.

“Recently I was the recipient of a gift card purchased from Curries Art Store in Whitby. This resulted from my entry into the 2019 seniors juried art show winning first place. I would like to thank the Friends of the Library for this gift card and your support in making the art show the success that it was” – John McFeeters
