Library Take-Out Service
Now that Durham Region is in the Red Zone level of Ontario’s COVID-19 Response Framework, we understand that you might feel uncomfortable spending time in the Library. Rest assured, we are pleased to continue offering Library Take-Out services, so you can still enjoy books, DVDs, music, magazines, and more!
This service is available at all Oshawa Public Libraries branches during regular business hours.
To request Library items you will place holds on them. For instructions on how to place a hold click here.
To pick up your Library items, here’s what you’ll need to know:
- Once you’ve been notified that your items are ready, call the Library to set up an appointment at 905-579-6111
- At the pre-arranged time and Library branch, you will be asked to show your Library card. Your items will then be placed on a table in a designated spot located immediately outside the Library for a safe, quick, contactless pick-up
Don’t forget, we’re always here for you online! Browse our selection of online products and services including borrowing ebooks and audiobooks, unlimited music streaming, TV series, movies, research and learning tools and so much more through our website.
