Adult Literacy
We offer a range of high-interest low-vocabulary books for adult learners and those learning English. Our staff are available to assist you. Select from Classic and Canadian books, grammar texts, lessons, and more.
English as a Second Language support
Our weekly ESL Social Club is a great way to practice your English and meet new people. Check the Events Calendar (link to calendar) to find the program times at McLaughlin or Northview. We also offer English books for adult learners, and a foreign film collection.
Interlibrary Loan
OPL's collection content is broad and in-depth. Occasionally, we do not own items that you are looking for. We can obtain titles for you from other library systems through our
Interlibrary Loan Service (ILLO).
Local History Room and Genealogy Requests
Our Local History Librarian can help you get started in tracing your family history using tools and resources from our Local History Room and our in-house version of Ancestry. We also offer a Genealogy Support Group that meets regularly. Visit us at the McLaughlin Branch to use our resources or send us a genealogy request via
the contact form with your questions.
Online Study/Homework Help
Our trained staff are here to help you find the resources you need to get your project done. We also offer help you can access from home with our
online tutors on Brainfuse. Get live help from trained tutors between the hours of 2:00pm-11:00pm EST. Just log in with your Library card.

Request New Books and Movies

here and we will let you know whether we can order it.
